Electronic Percussion specialists Pintech Percussion has received NAMM’s 2014 “Best in Show” award for “Companies to Watch”. The sought-after award was presented to the group at the 2014 Winter NAMM Show following an extensive selection process by seven industry retailer panelists who scoured the show floor to seek out the 2014 Best In Show recipients.
This award was announced on the last day of NAMM at the NAMM U Breakfast Session, with hundreds of music industry professionals present. The “Company to Watch” award was one of the categories within the “Best in Show” awards, and all exhibitors are considered for the award. The “Company to Watch” category is handed out to the company who is deemed to be trendsetting and innovative. Pintech’s highlighted products included their acoustic to electric drum conversion kits, and their novelty “critter triggers” drum triggers.
Pintech was given the Company to Watch title by panelist Gayle Beacock, owner of Beacock’s Music in Vancouver, WA. Beacock’s Music was also selected as the 2014 Dealer of the Year.
“It is a true honor to receive the prestigious ‘Company to Watch’ award. Pintech recently made some major changes with our product lineup, with a more focus to detail and innovation – and it looks like people are starting to notice what we are accomplishing. Pintech has always been a brand that focused on quality, but we wanted to really show that off with new ideas, and feature-rich products. Our conversion kits for acoustic drums has been a huge thing for a lot of people. We believe that we have created a bridge between acoustic drums and electronic drums, and people are really intrigued with what we have to offer.” Commented Ryan Guard. He continued, “New ideas aren’t always the best ideas, so we’ve made it an effort to get the drum community involved with our company as much as possible. We’ve listened to their concerns, their wants, and we’ve done our best to make sure that we provide products that are very high quality with the features they want, and still be very affordable.”
